**You must have a Housecall Pro Max account in order to directly integrate with SendJim**

Please view the video or written instructions below to learn how to connect SendJim and Housecall Pro Max accounts for automated mailings.

Steps 1: Visit Your Company Profile and Select 'Third Party Integration".

Step 2: Select Housecall Pro. This will open a new screen where it will ask you for your API Key and Webhook Signing Secret.

For the API Key: Read this article API Key or follow the steps below.

  1. In Housecall Pro, navigate to your "My Apps" and then the "Apps Store"

  2. Scroll down until you find API, click on it

  3. On the right side, click Generate a New API Key

  4. Copy the API Key and paste it back into SendJim where it says 'Enter your API Key here'

For the Webhook Signing Secret: Read this article Webhooks or follow the steps below.

  1. In your SendJim account copy the URL shown in your Third Party Integration tab under "Enter Webhook Signing Secret". This URL is specific for each account.

  2. Navigate to your Housecall Pro account, click back once to bring you to your My Apps.

  3. Scroll down until you find Webhooks, click it.

  4. Paste in the URL on the right and click Save.

  5. It will then authenticate and give you a Signing Secret you can copy.

  6. While still on this page, ensure the following Webhook events are toggled "On" and then click Save. (customer.created, customer.updated, estimate.sent, job.scheduled, job.completed, job.paid, lead.created, lead.converted)

  7. Go back to your SendJim account and paste the Signing Secret where it's asked for.

  8. Click Connect.

Step 3: Now you will see you are connected and can start setting up automation. You can also check the box if you want to sync contacts from Housecall Pro to SendJim. Contacts will sync from Housecall Pro to SendJim but not SendJim to Housecall Pro. Housecall Pro will only bring over one address per Customer Profile, it favors the Billing Address.

Step 4: When you are adding an activity that you would like to happen, you can choose from the following

Once you have your activity chosen you can choose to set a Dollar Amount. Your options are:

You must then decide who the recipient will be, either the customer or their neighbors. If you choose for it to be sent to their neighbors you must then select how many neighbors.

Step 5: The next step is to choose your Max Send Frequency Per Address. This setting will limit how many times the integration will trigger the same sequence off the same address. For example, if you have an automation set-up to send a 3-card sequence to the neighbors after a job is completed, you only want that sequence to trigger once every 3 months if you service that client multiple times per month. This would prevent the neighbors of your client from receiving multiple of the same mailing.

You will also choose the Quick Send you want to be triggered by the Activity inside Housecall Pro. Once you have selected it, click Save along the right side.

Step 6: This is an optional step. You have the ability to add filters if the Activity you set up is to send to the Neighbors. In your Company Profile on the right side are Neighbor Mailing Filters.

  • Same Street ONLY- Checking this box off will result in your Neighbor Mailings being limited to the exact same road as your customer. If for example you check the box off and are trying to mail to 10 neighbors but your customer lives on a road with only 5 other neighbors, it will only charge you and mail to 5 not 10 since it's limited to the same road.

  • Occupant Type- You have the option for Owner Occupied or Absentee Owner. If you want to avoid rental properties and vacant homes, select Owner Occupied.

  • Household Income- You can ensure any neighbors receiving the mailings meet specific income levels. When using this filter, be sure to select any brackets you want included, not just one.

Step 7: This is the last and most important step. At the top of your page, select the "Billing & Membership" tab. On the right side, set your Auto-Replenish and Monthly Spending Limit. Then click "Save." These numbers are what SendJim will use to give Housecall Pro a budget to spend every month. Once Housecall Pro has reached your Monthly Spending Limit inside SendJim that calendar month, SendJim will send you an email and stop any additional mailings from Housecall Pro until the next calendar month. Or, you can choose to come in and increase the max to allow automation to continue.
