Pricing:
The Text Messaging feature does require a $75 setup fee.
Every 10 text messages will cost 1 credit, regardless of if they are sent or received. If a text is over 300 characters it will be broken up into seperate texts, each one costing 0.1 credits.
The price per credit will depend on the SendJim plan you're in. If you are unsure, you can always reach out to our team using the chat feature on our website.
Setup:
Navigate to your Text Messaging tab along the left side.
When you are ready to move forward, select the blue "Add Texting Today for $25/Month" button.
You will then see a pop up like this, verifying you would like to continue:
You will then be prompted to select an area code and then reserve your phone number.
Verification:
You will need to fill out some information in order to continue. First will be your business information.
If you do not have an EIN Number, you will be registered as a Sole Proprietorship.
Next will be the Text Message Usage and User Consent.
This is the verification part that may take up to 14 days to be approved. Once it is, you will be notified by email and you will see in your Text Messaging tab an Active Phone Number listed.
If you are rejected, our team can help determine the reason and you can reapply.
Creating a Text Message Quick Send:
In order to send a text message, you will first need to create a Text Message Quick Send.
Navigate to your My Quick Sends along the left side and then select " Add Quick Send" in the top right corner.
Select the Text message Icon and click Next.
You will need to initial each box for our Terms and Agreements to continue as well as type "I Accept" at the bottom of the page.
Delivery times will follow the same rules as our voicemail deliveries. You can view that article HERE.
If you would like to send yourself a preview you can choose to do that as well, it will cost you 0.1 credits for each preview message sent.
Select Next, give your Text Message Quick Send a name and choose which category you would like to save it to.
You will then see your new Quick Send saved.
Sending Text Messages:
You can only send text message to your Clients/Prospects. SendJim does not provide Phone Numbers through the Radius Bomb or Neighbor Mailings.
You can choose to manually trigger a Text message from your My Addresses or add it into an automation with your CRM (Contact Support to help set up automation).
To send to someone from your My Addresses, first you will need to add the contact into your SendJim account.
If someone replies "STOP" to a text message, they will then automatically be marked at "Do Not Text".
Once someone has unsubscribed,they will receive a text informing them of how to opt back in if they choose to.
Select the box next the the individual(s) you would like to text and then select Send along the bottom left side.
You will then choose "Send to Selected Address(s)" and then you will select your Text Message Quick Send.
You will then see an Order Summary with a cost breakdown for the Text(s) you're sending.
Click Send, after a few minutes you will see a record of your order in the Reports section.
As a reminder, Text Messages just like Voicemail Bombs can only go to a cell phone.
Receiving/ Responding and Notifications:
Whenever someone responds to your text Message, you will see a notification icon along the left side where the Text Messaging tab is as well as an email alert.
Once you navigate to the Text Messaging tab, you will see a history of all your text message conversations.
Once you're done with a conversation, you can Archive it. There is a tab in you conversations area for Archived Threads so you can always reference back.
An Archived Thread cannot be replied to but you can view it, if you need to respond again, simply Unarchive it.
If you choose to Delete a conversation Forever, you will not be able to recover it ever again.
Please remember, each sent text as well as received one will cost 0.1 credits. this cost will happen even if a Text can't be successfully sent.
Call Settings:
If someone attempts to call the number a Text message was sent from, you are able to either have the call forwarded to another number or, reply with a text message.
To set this up, navigate to your Text Messaging tab, then select the Gears icon next to your phone number.
Then set your settings.
*** Please be aware, if you activate Text Messaging and then cancel, you will not be able to use it again in the future.***
